 The pistol was loaded. It seemed just about right that after all he had been through, including some very public charges of wire fraud and money laundering, numerous bankruptcies, and the loss of all his close, personal friends that there was no point moving forward with this life. Then, the phone rang. It was his father calling him to tell him that his brother just did the unthinkable, and took his life. In that moment, everything changed for Scott Lumley.   Publicly humiliated. Broke. Alone. The odds were not in his favor for a comeback. Life wasn’t going to be easy, but he was used to that. From a very young age, Scott had to pull up his bootstraps and work. Through abuse, loss, and eventual triumphs, this is his American story.  Don’t Look Me Up isn’t a full biography. He’s way too young to put out that book. Instead, this book is a collection of stories from Scott about his life growing up, starting his million dollar businesses, surviving bankruptcies, and starting life over again in his forties. It’s a story of survival, heartbreak and the ultimate American dream come true.
